We had dinner at this restaurant last week, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The Chinese food here is genuinely authentic—bold in flavor and clearly made with care and tradition. One dish that stood out immediately was the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, with a rich, creamy coating of salted egg yolk that added both a savory depth and a touch of sweetness.
Ate for the first time a week ago. Beautiful tasty food. We enjoyed every single spoonful, so definitely one of the best I have eaten and unlike any other Chinese/ Malay food Ive had, so we will return again. Service was quick and staff pleasant. Glad it’s local!
Booked a table for 2 a few nights ago. Staff are very attentive. We ordered seaweed, spring rolls and prawn toast as starters, all very nice. And sweet & sour prawns, noodles with bean sprouts, egg fried rice and chilli beef mains. Far too much for us but really tasty and fresh and we had food for next day. With 2 beers and a sprite it came to £67 which we thought reasonable. Would definitely return to try more dishes.
Went for a small family meal and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the friendly professional service and welcoming atmosphere. Word or warning though try to hold back on the starters so you have space for the main course. Food range and quality better than the average Chinese restaurant and very reasonably priced. Our new go to restaurant for Chinese food. Thank you
Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants around. Plenty of space, nice restaurant, fantastic quality and range of food. Staff very good. I have been coming here for a good 10 years now and it's constantly 👍
We came to try the lunch time special. The lunch time special is £10.50 and I think you get 2 courses and tea included in the price. On the menu they add an extra £1 i now realise that is for the blue starred items on the menu where you have prawns and more expensive ingredients. They also showed ice cream, at the bottom of the menu so not sure if that was included but we so full after the 2 course we didn't enquire about the ice cream. We ordered a soup and fried prawns to start. I was impressed with the prawns they were tasty and came with a sweet and sour sauce. The hot and sour soup was good and had prawns and chicken and quite a few ingredients in it. For mains we ordered a laksa and some mixed meat crispy noodle. I was impressed with the ingredients and the quality of the dish. The waitress was lovely and friendly. She gave gave us extra plates and bowls so we could share our mains. She also topped up the tea with hot water when we finished the first pot. We will definitely do the lunch time special again, the waitress said it's available on the Saturday too so will come back on the weekend I'm sure. There was also a free car park close by, which made it easy go get to the restaurant too.
Great variety and very authentic Hong Kong/Malaysian dishes! Have ordered fried and stir-fried dishes for takeaway and the chef left small holes at the boxes to avoid the food becoming saggy. Not entirely sure if that’s a norm across restaurants, but I do think it is the small thing that counts.
Don't miss the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings; they deliver a perfect balance of crunch and creamy richness. The Mongolian beef also stands out for its bold flavors, complemented by freshly prepared noodles and sweet & sour prawns, which diners rave about.
